Flying his Mooney M20J aircraft from North Perry Airport (HWO) to FD88 — Aero Acres’ private airport, Roger and his team landed directly at the property to perform a detailed Boundary and Topographic Survey.

“I love when I get to combine my passion for flying and surveying at the same time,” said Roger Morales.

The Aero Acres community is unique — each home is built around its own private runway access. The survey site itself was particularly challenging due to its large and irregular lot geometry, runway proximity, and open-field topography.

The field team, led by PSM Rick Morales, spent several hours collecting precise GPS control points, benchmark elevations, and topographic details to support the homeowner’s new addition project.

“The property was not only large and uniquely shaped but also adjacent to a 3,200-foot runway with grass taxiways,” said PSM Rick Morales.
“That makes accuracy and safety coordination extremely important — especially in aviation-based communities.”
